About the 2026 GMC Sierra 1500
The 2026 GMC Sierra 1500 is back with three excellent powertrains. This half-ton truck features a maximum tow weight of 13,300 pounds and 2,200 pounds of hauling capacity. Two new exterior colors are available for the 2026 model year. Sport mode now comes with a more aggressive exhaust note.
Technology Highlights
The Sierra 1500 is equipped with a 13.4-inch infotainment touchscreen, except for the base Pro model (7-inch screen). Wireless phone connection is standard, and the screen has apps, navigation, and voice assistance. It also comes with a host of standard driver assistance technology. A wireless phone charger can be added.
Design & Styling
The 2026 Sierra 1500 is available in eight different trim levels, ranging from the base Pro to the fully loaded Denali Ultimate. The crew cab features a large interior with plenty of room for up to 6 adults, with a front bench seat. The truck can be purchased with a trick tailgate that offers multiple configurations.
